Flyer design

Banner design

Design work I produced for Christ Community Church's monthly pancake breakfast. Come check it out if you are in the Johnson City, TN area. It's a great time and place to meet some new faces and enjoy a hot free pancake breakfast!

If you are interested in the production process it went something like this:
  1. Brainstorm/Sketching
  2. Making pancakes
  3. Photographing pancakes
  4. Color correcting and choosing photos to use
  5. Layout on the computer (font placement/family, visual and informational flow, artwork, etc.)
  6. Illustrating syrup and butter
  7. Tweaking
  8. More tweaking
  9. Even more tweaking
  10. Deliver to the printers
  11. Eat free pancakes! Mmm...!
Before leaving, consider sending feedback. I like to know how you viewers out there, wherever there maybe, feel about the design of the blog, my posts, my artwork, or most anything that comes to mind! Leave a comment below or send me an email using the contact page!

The Dead Possum Possy, a rag tag gang of illiterate folk from the holler' with big ambitions to become folk rappers. There newest hits include Mo' Moonshine, and You Kno' U Wanna' Hit Tat (Roadkills Fur' Eatin').

And now for ...a journey through the layers!

Greetings all,
The siggraph video is up!

Summary:
This is a narrative music video that was inspired by the CNR music video produced by Jib Jab. It’s the story of a man who is renowned for his cinematography skills. He has won many awards, which leads into his pompous and egotistical attitude. His only strife in life is to stay “on top” and gain constant approval from the art community and fans but has the hardest time topping what he’s already done. Mad with creative juices he jumps off a cliff hoping to capture the climatic fall and be recognized once again.

Medium:
All of the characters were shot with a Fuji s200 digital camera on a green screen. The backgrounds were composited in Photoshop. All of the source files were put together and edited in After Effects,

Music:
Eagles of Death Metal - English Girl

You can check out some of the background composites in my last post here:

Went camping this past weekend took some photos and sketched out some landscapes. Those will make appearances soonish.

Hello all,
It has been awhile since my last post so I figured I'd share with you kind folk a behind the pixels look at my new profile pic for facebook.

green screen(after cropping)
This image came out of a green screen shooting run that ran all night for another project I am currently working on.

color corrected and centered
I decided to go for a saving private ryan feel with less saturation and higher contrast.

detail composite
I added cigar embers, smoke, grunge, text, and markings

background composite
For the background I downloaded images of a brickwall, plaster walls and bullethole. I then composited and color corrected the images to create a wartorn backdrop for the subject.
final composite
Here I added some wear and tear to the image to give it a more aged look.
