Just a quick test I'd figure I'd share and hopefully gain some insight to the "pixel motion" frame blending option in After Effects. If you have any advice be sure and leave a comment!

Just a little retro-rocket-ship I modeled, lit, and rendered in Blender 2.5.2 for a classroom demo. As I am teaching some summer courses at Chattanooga State Technical Community College on basic 3D animation and modeling.

Greetings all,
The siggraph video is up!

Summary:
This is a narrative music video that was inspired by the CNR music video produced by Jib Jab. It’s the story of a man who is renowned for his cinematography skills. He has won many awards, which leads into his pompous and egotistical attitude. His only strife in life is to stay “on top” and gain constant approval from the art community and fans but has the hardest time topping what he’s already done. Mad with creative juices he jumps off a cliff hoping to capture the climatic fall and be recognized once again.

Medium:
All of the characters were shot with a Fuji s200 digital camera on a green screen. The backgrounds were composited in Photoshop. All of the source files were put together and edited in After Effects,

Music:
Eagles of Death Metal - English Girl

You can check out some of the background composites in my last post here:

Went camping this past weekend took some photos and sketched out some landscapes. Those will make appearances soonish.
